The Pathfields Model of Care
We aspire to delivering excellence in health care. We feel that the best model to achieve this is one where we have a unified service working over multiple sites across the city. This gives our patients choice: choice over where they visit and who they see. This is particularly useful for patients that need a little extra expertise – many of our clinicians have a specific area of interest and sometimes it is worth travelling to see them for their extra skills in a specific area.
Some of our clinicians have extra training and skills in
- ENT and dizziness
- Dermatology (skin complaints) and skin lesions
- Minor surgery (we can remove lumps, bumps, minor skin cancers and ingrowing toe nails in our sites offering surgery)
- Chronic pain and Functional illness
- Diabetes
- Cardiology (heart) problems
- Geriatric Care
The Acute Medical Team
Working on a large scale also means we can deliver care in new and innovative ways. Our acute medical team has recently been established as a first port of call for all patients with a new medical problem. Our front of house team will triage your problem depending on the degree of urgency to ensure you get urgent help when you need it. The team will also ensure you get the right help from the right person. If you would benefit from seeing an in house expert they will offer an appointment with them. If they feel you would benefit from a blood test prior to seeing a doctor they can arrange this too ensuring you get the most effective and efficient care with the minimum inconvenience.
