I completed my medical training at Brighton and Sussex Medical School in 2009. I then did a diploma in tropical medicine in East Africa and spent the next two years working in rural South Africa where I met my wife. We then travelled across Southern Africa in my yellow 4×4 to Malawi where we ran a remote clinic for a year before returning to the UK in 2015 to start GP training in Plymouth. I qualified as GP in 2019.

I have completed additional training in palliative care, and spent a year working in hospices in Plymouth and back in Malawi. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, teaching and have a particular interest in working on projects to improve delivery of healthcare for our most vulnerable populations. I also have additional roles developing projects to support recruitment and training in general practice, running programs in international primary care, and I am completing studies in medical education.

I live just outside Plymouth with my wife and young family and enjoy tennis, travelling and the outdoors.

I qualified as a Doctor in South Africa in 2000 and have been practicing medicine in the UK since 2002. After working in hospital medicine for a number of years, I qualified as a GP in 2008 and have been enjoying the variety and continuity of general practice care ever since.

I joined Pathfields Practice in 2021 and am delighted and privileged to work with such a compassionate, collaborative and committed team of people. My interests lie in children’s and women’s health (particularly menopause and HRT) and good chronic disease management. I am dedicated to improving the quality and longevity of our patients lives through supportive, shared patient-doctor decision making especially when it comes to long-term conditions.

I am a GP trainer, medical student supervisor and mentor to younger GPs, roles which significantly enhance my work enjoyment.

I live in the South Hams with beautiful walks including countryside, coastlines and beaches to enjoy with my family. The great outdoors is a source of inspiration, mental and physical wellbeing which I also greatly advocate to my patients.
